Jim started CrossFit in 2008 while deployed. After his return, he spent another year overseas managing CrossFit Janyali in Jalalabad Afghanistan before finally making it home to open CrossFit Granbury while earning his ACE personal trainer certification and Paramedic license. Shawndi opened the 1st First Responder gym in Hood County with her husband, Coach Chris, in 2011. A year later, the roots stayed the same but the Shelby's got involved and we became a community gym. Shawndi and Chris have three kids Khonor, Khope and Kholyns. Senior Fitness is her specialty and she concentrates on lifetime mobility. Hi! I am married to the most handsome firefighter, Michael, and we have three kids. My family began our CrossFit adventure in May 2014. About two weeks after starting I found out we were expecting! Since then I have had three babies and continued to workout until 39 weeks in each pregnancy. Keegan, our oldest son is one of the original CrossFit Kids and now works out in the adult classes with us. I LOVE to run and would rather show up for a workout involving double unders and burpees.

I’m coach Michael and coach Meren is my beautiful bride. We have 4 kids who love being at the gym as much as we do. We have been working out at CFG since 2014 and have been coaching since 2019. I am a full-time firefighter for the City of Weatherford and have been in the fire service since 2005. Staying healthy and fit is not just good to do but a necessary requirement for my profession. My favorite things to do in the gym are row, double unders, and deadlift. See you in the box!!!

Amber is a wife, mom of two and is one of the original members at CFG. She has grown so much in her fitness and this led to her wanting to help others grow in their fitness too. Amber currently takes all of our new members through their initial assessments and sets them up for success. She is a certified personal trainer and has overcome many obstacles on her own fitness journey including brain surgery. She has proven that where there is a will, there is a way! Sometimes starting your fitness journey can be intimidating; Amber makes taking that first step much less overwhelming.
COACH ALLYSA FACIANE
A long long time ago, WAY back in high school Coach Allysa started her fitness journey. She was in and out of the gym for a few years but when she met and married her babe, Brok, they both dove in together. She worked out through both of her pregnancies and found a new love for getting buff, functional fitness, and community when they all moved to Granbury and started coming to Community Fitness Granbury.

Coach Jody AKA Papa Jody has been an athlete at CFG for too many years to count... he brings so much fun to the classes and so we invited him to join our coaching team! He has completed his Level Method Coaching and has been such an asset to our CFG family! After a major bull riding accident, he returned back to lifting the same weights that he was before, so he knows a thing or two about recovering from injuries. He'll push you to your limits and he'll make you laugh at the same time!
