Welcome to Home Workout Day 1 with CFG. This is the new normal for all of us for the next few weeks. Thanks for being such and awesome crew during this transition. Here is your workout for the day.
Quality of movement is going to be our number one focus.
A yoga mat is all you need for today's workout (and that's really just for comfort.) You can accumulate these reps in any way you choose. I recommend breaking it up into rounds, but if you want to make it as hard as possible for yourself then go straight through as written. Regardless of your strategy take this opportunity to focus on movement quality. Rest as needed, but work to stay steady the entire workout. If you want to add weight to the Glute Bridges, stack some books (or anything) on your hips, GET CREATIVE!
Dear CFG Members!
With all the craziness of the Corona Virus going on, it’s important to focus on what we can control. This might seem obvious, but the world is currently filled with fear and panic -- which doesn’t help much! Keep in mind that health, fitness and a strong immune system are BIG POSITIVES in all of this! And it’s important we stay on top of it!
We want to let you know that we are ACTIVELY working through this temporary challenge, and we have a clear plan of action that we want to share with you.
You are our top priority -- you always have been, and always will be.
So, number one, we’ve increased all sanitation at the gym. We’ve always been on top of it, but now we’re taking it to an extreme level, just to be safe. This includes using industrial strength cleaner multiple times a day on everything with human contact -- NO virus will survive if we have any say in it!
We will remain open unless forced to close! But some of you may choose to self-quarantine early, and if you do we will have at-home workouts available to you shortly.
A couple important notes:
When you’re at the gym!
The High Level Game Plan
Obviously, we are a gym that runs classes in-person. We mentioned it earlier, but you may choose to self-quarantine. If that happens, or we are forced to close to the gym because of a lock-down type scenario, we have your back and we have you covered!
The last thing we want to do is leave you hanging -- besides, the fact is we NEED to keep our health and fitness up during this time. It’s IMPERATIVE. But if we can’t physically be at the gym, what can we do?
Well, 2 things:
1. Our daily workouts will continue as normal, but if you choose to stay home we will have Awesome At-Home Workouts designed just for you. We'll post these on the WOD BLOG on our website @ https://www.cfgranbury.com/apps/member/login - if you are unable to log-in, just request a log-in and we'll approve it! Be sure to put your actual name in there so we know who we are approving!
2.) We are starting a Nutrition Challenge next Monday that many of you have already signed up for. You'll be able to use the knowledge you learn to help keep your family as healthy as possible too! Between now and then, limit your sugar in-take as much as possible to keep that immune system as strong as possible! We'll also be posting free advice via Facebook about ways to keep yourself and family healthy and strong during this virus-filled season! This is our way of looking out for our awesome community, staying healthy, spreading the love, a nd keeping our mind on what we can control!
We are working on all the details now, and will have more information to you soon!
The CDC and the entire scientific world are working on solutions, and it’s just a matter of time until all of this blows over. So, let’s get our minds right, stay safe and continue to crush our goals!
